CAMPANIa

Campania, Napoli, Pompei, Caserta, Sorrento, Amalfi, etc... Campania is a beautiful region. Unfortunately, the news and many cliche' do not do certain honor and a great past obscure, unknown to many. The many similarities shared by the Liguria primarily those between the two capitals Genoa and Naples with their ports and their cargo and the two stories that Ligure eastern coast and the Sorrento-Amalfi. Reading some books you can learn that: - Naples, at the time of the Borboni and the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, was the first city in the world to have the water in homes. - Naples was one of the first cities in Europe by population, second only to Paris. - The first railway tunnel in the world was built in what was also the first railway line in Italy, the Naples-Portici. - In Naples was installed the first gas lighting system. - The first experiment with electricity in Italy took place in Campania at Capodimonte. - The Borboni fleet was the first to have a steamboat on the route Naples-Palermo, first in the Mediterranean and fourth in the world. - From Naples was the first ship on the route Naples Palermo-New York, a ship propeller with three masts. Pompei, Capri, Ischia, Amalfi, just to name few other Campania famous names....
